Where is a cheap place to buy 2-way radios?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under radios | 4 Comments »

I am talking about the, Kenwood type radios, the professional ones.

If your looking for the Gmrs stuff, then your best bet is the "bubble" pack radios avail at Target or walmart. My family owns a Motorola shop (MSS) and we do offer the kenwood radios you are asking about. You are wanting commercial grade radios. Kenwood has a web site that you can browse the radios they offer and get a list price. This will give you a feeling of what you will pay. Their web site is kenwoodusa.com
Good luck

If the sound is there, there has to be a way to capture it.

Use Realplayer.

How do you record music from your radio to the computer? My internet is to slow do download music from itunes it would take for ever.

The way I do it is to run the radio’s headphone jack into my sound card’s mic jack, open up Cakewalk or Audacity, and hit "record." Then, when I’m done, I convert the resulting WAV to an MP3.

How do I fix my Media Center, Live TV and Radio?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under live radio | 1 Comment »

Two days ago my computer decided to remain at a black screen whenever I click on Live TV. radio just doesn’t play anymore, but that may be because my antenna isn’t hooked up anymore, so I could probably fix that. The main problem is that Live TV doesn’t work. When I open Media Center its normal until I go to Live TV. Live TV doesn’t come up as No Signal, it just remains black. It’s very annoying because I usually use it to record football games and such, because I can’t always be home, or watching that game.

My computer is an HP with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002 Sevice Pack 2.

The XP video decoder is a critical element in MCE. Run the checfking program from the link below.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=DE1491AC-0AB6-4990-943D-627E6ADE9FCB&displaylang=en

Can you play DVDs from within MCE? If you can, the decoder is probably good.
email me if you need help.
