What’s a free program or something I can use?
I have been trying to download from BBC Radio Player for months now and so far not found a solution, however I am working with Linux.
If you are working with Windows then it can be done by using Total Recorder http://www.highcriteria.com/ however it is not free.
LUg.
I have a philips wireless streamium device so I can save a url on the Clubphilips website and then play a radio station that I have saved over my wireless network to the lounge where the streamium device is connected to a speaker system.
I have tried using url’s from the websites where they broadcast via players and webpages to pc’s but that does not work .
I understand that if they play on windows media player it will also stream to my device so I just need a methiod of obtain the url’s.
Try this one…

As time moves on there’s more and more great internet radio sites. Is there any software I can use to grab some of the music and store it on my hard drive?
If the sound is there, there has to be a way to capture it.
Use Realplayer.

I was told not to visit youtube at work because it uses too much bandwidth. but i have to have some type of music to stay happy and motivated.
Online radio won’t take that much bandwidth. it would be around 1 or 2 MB per minutes. but it depends on the quality of the radio. if you are using a Windows Pc, you can download any free bandwidth meter and check how much bandwidth it is taking. one such free bandwidth meter listed is
ShaPlus Bandwidth meter – http://www.shaplus.com/bandwidth-meter/

i just got an ipod nano. i have the ipod hooked up to the newest version of itunes and everything. Just need to put a radio station on it. I have already found a radio station i like.
are you talking about podcasts?
just buy one, download it, and it will be in your library.
then go to downloads and allow it to sync onto your ipod.
I click on the button to start the streaming and it says to wait a minute and then I lose everything and have to sign back into surfing.
the shift button thing did not work.
maybe you have a pop up blocker, trying holding down
Shift when you click to begin the stream.
