How to Record Internet Radio Streams with VLC on a Mac

In this video I demonstrate how to use VLC Player on Mac OSX to record an internet radio stream.

    This worked perfectly. I need something that does exactly this, and I need it on a deadline. I would never have figured out all the settings in time without the help of this video. Getting the bit rate right was the only part that took a couple of tries.

    Tried encoding with 128 and 192 bits, used .RAW
    So far I got one file that wouldn’t play, even after being renamed, and one file of 0 bytes.

    Great Thanks man. I have no idea, some encoder might be the best but I don’t use winamp and I hate all extra applications. So this raw way is just perfect for me because I use VLC and I don’t need to download any free or expensive junk on my computer that would finally make it dead. Thanks again really nice.

    I tried this, but it’s not working when I try to play it in itunes. I also tried playing in the VLC player and it came up as a problem. It is saved as an mp3 file in a folder, but when I try to play it it doesn’t work. Could you help me out?
