Can you use the itunes radio stations as background sound for youtube videos?

I want to make a series of youtube videos but I don’t want to go around finding several copyright free songs for each one. If I just let the radio from itunes play in the background while I speak, will that be copyright-free?

I mean the radio stations ARE free so it SHOULD be ok, you’d think?

Nope. Radio stations obtain the right by the copyright owners of the music to play it. As long as you record and use a section of radio play that has a copyrighted song playing, you are still committing infringement. Not only that, you’re now probably infringing on the radio station unless you get permission from them ALSO, to use their broadcasts.

In my most subtle, non-crime-endorsing opinion, I find it easier to just say screw it and upload whatever. If it gets deleted, oh well. Life goes on.
