What is the most popular radio production software?

I am starting a radio production course this year and I want to get some experience using the software that is used in radio stations for cueing the music and ads, and for talk over etc.

Anyone have any ideas what the most popular software is?

You need to visit a radio station because your idea of what is used in broadcasting is about as far from reality as it can get.

Radio stations have used basically the same equipment for 50 years or more… a MIXING BOARD, turn tables, tape record and playback decks and a whole assortment of audio sweetning EQUIPMENT.. they aren’t doing it at home on their PC… they are using, in some cases, State of the Art recording equipment… but at the other end of the scale.. out in the midwest… they don’t even have the basics, since their programming comes in by satellite.
