If your looking for the Gmrs stuff, then your best bet is the "bubble" pack radios avail at Target or walmart. My family owns a Motorola shop (MSS) and we do offer the kenwood radios you are asking about. You are wanting commercial grade radios. walmart is prob the lowest unless u get it on ebay and that might be cheaper hopes this helps

depends on your location. most 2way shops own a territory, for example, you cannot have two motorola shops in the same town or territory.
Check out http://www.gigaparts.com – they sell ham as well as commercial portable radios.
Kenwood is a good choice for new, used Motorola is my choice, but can be difficult to get programmed sometimes.
